Making Contact
Before taking on a project I like to get together with a potential client - but this doesn't have to be in person. Communicating by phone or email is fine. My last client was in China and we managed somehow! After discussing your project I will go away and put together a detailed quote, which would form part of our contract should you decide to go ahead.
Getting Started
The next step is to agree on a schedule of work. This will include details such as what information is to be provided by you, timescales for the work to be delivered and approved, and of course, the fee.
The Finished Product
You sit back and relax (or get on with doing what you're good at) while I get on with writing your book. Depending on the length of the book I will probably need you to check and approve the work at various stages. This saves time and ensures that when you receive your finished manuscript it is exactly what you'd hoped for. When it is completed I deliver it to you, either electronically or in hard-copy. The book is yours, with your name on it, and nobody need ever know you didn't write it yourself.
